Caixa should launch a program next month aimed at spreading solar energy into Brazilian homes. Caixa President Pedro Guimarães told Brasil em Pauta on Sunday (12) that Caixa Energia Renovável will finance the acquisition of the solar panels at an interest rate of 1.17% per month. “It’s the lowest credit score,” Guimarães said.

Financing can be contracted by cell phone, through the Caixa Tem app. He will have a grace period of six months and five years for payment.

Guimarães spoke about another initiative focused on sustainability: jungle chest. Through this program, the bank intends to invest 150 million R$ to take care of the planting of 10 million trees in five years. According to the president of Caixa, four projects have been selected. There will be 4 million trees and 5 thousand springs and 4 million people will benefit from them.

“When we maintain forests or springs, the people who live in the surroundings [dessas áreas] directly “.

Pedro Guimarães also spoke of the opening of 268 Caixa branches in the interior of the Northeast. He pointed out that the bank is in conflict with others, who close service stations, because it opens branches in hard-to-reach places, and no institution can reach them. He also commented on Caixa’s growth in the agribusiness, especially in the lower income bracket, in this case the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (Pronaf).

“We will not focus on large companies that do not need Caixa,” he said.

NS Brazil on the agenda It is broadcast at 7:30 PM this Sunday (12) on Brazil TV.
