Singer Caetano Veloso turned 80 on Sunday (7). He will celebrate his birthday in a special way, participate in live music Today with her children Moreno, Zika and Tom, as well as her sister, Maria Bethania. The live broadcast was requested by the musician himself who wanted to celebrate his birthday by singing alongside his family.

The special “Caetano 80 anos” will be broadcast by Globoplay and Multishow, starting at 8:25 p.m. Sunday. An excerpt will also be shown in “NiceAmong the songs that will be part of the repertoire, the singer confirmed “O sopro do fole”, “Irene” and “Milagres do povo”. Before the presentation, Caetano assessed his career in an interview published by Globoplay.

Caetano commented on how the recent preparations for the live broadcast continued: “We are training at home, but we are going to a big stage. We have and do not have the right to miss the chords, verses, notes.” He also commented on his decades-long artistic life: “I would say it was, to me, coherent and amazing. From a young age I knew I was going to be an artist, but not a musician,” he said.

In 2020, the singer made his first live broadcast during the pandemic also on Globoplay along with his children Tom, Moreno and Zika Veloso, who were together on the “Ofertório” album tour. The broadcast was broadcast live from the family’s home in Rio de Janeiro.
