It is not surprising that there are drivers who are good at using tricks to transport unusual goods, such as sofas, refrigerators and even other cars. But a driver in the state of Nebraska, in the United States, was surprised this week when he was caught carrying a giant bull in the passenger seat.

The case was recorded on video by a witness who witnessed the incident and reported it to the local security authorities. The bull named Howdy Doody was seen being carried in the seat where the front passenger usually sits in the car.

Upon receiving the call, the police assumed it was a calf or a small animal, which could easily fit in an unmodified car. But the police were surprised when they seized a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria with a roof and windshield cut in half to accommodate the cow.

According to NBC News, the driver and owner of the car, Lee Meyer, said upon approaching him that he had adapted the car to transport live goods, as it is a regular attraction at fairs and stops in the city.

Modifications to cars must be regulated by the relevant authorities in the US state, but the driver stated that he did not obtain any kind of approval before making the transfer. He also did not have a car impounded when he was arrested, the police only ordered him to be careful in traffic and proceed.

The nine-year-old bull, weighing about one ton, belongs to one of the oldest subspecies in the world, the African bull Watusi, known on the continent for its giant horns. The breed is over 4,000 years old and the animals are known to use their horns for protection from predators and intruders. They are highly valued bulls in various African religions.
