Located 220 kilometers from the capital, Rio Verde is the fourth most populous municipality in the state. The city has parks, such as Espelho D’água and Dona Gercina, as well as Silvestre Park, with swimming pools and slides.

In addition to tourism, Rio Verde is the fourth largest economy in Goiás. The municipality is the second largest grain producer in the state, with an emphasis on soybeans, corn and sorghum, as well as having a proportional share of 4.8% in the state’s GDP, which determined the city’s choice of a strategic store opening. .
