After selling out in less than 24 hours after launching its first private flight (DL 1218, which went on sale last week and will fly the Austin-Detroit route), the company is giving customers a second chance to follow the eclipse in the sky on its way to its totality, this time departing Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Detroit (DTW), also on April 8.

Delta Flight 1010 will depart Dallas-Fort International Airport at 12:30 PM (CT) and arrive in Detroit at 4:20 PM (ET)*, along with the other flight equipped to provide a “cabin view” of the eclipse ( first flight). Departing from Austin).

After the announcement of the first flight accompanying the phenomenon, on February 19, searches for flights from Austin to Detroit on Delta channels increased by more than 1,500%. Therefore, the company has launched service from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Detroit, which will be operated on an A321neo – a larger aircraft than the A220-300 on the first route dedicated to viewing the total eclipse.

On April 8, passengers will also have other unique opportunities to view the eclipse on five additional Delta routes. Therefore, anyone taking these flights should not forget to bring sunglasses for protection.
