The Madero restaurant chain Pocketnarista Junior Durski said in its financial statements for the first quarter of 2021 that the company’s cash available would not be enough to pay off short-term debt on the due date without additional financing.

“There have been two results articles published by the company since the beginning of the pandemic, and auditors from the network, in both cases, raised the presence of ‘relevant uncertainty’ and ‘significant uncertainty’ related to process continuity,” Valor Economics reported.

The report delivered Thursday (24) indicates that snack bars may close.

In March 2020, at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, businessman Junior Dursky played down the deadly potential of the coronavirus. In his words, the state should not shut down the economy to limit the spread of the disease because “5 or 7,000 people will die.”

This Thursday, Brazil recorded more than 507,000 deaths from Covid-19.

Last year, the Federal Comptroller General (CGU) fined the restaurant R$442,000 for paying cash and food bribes to Ministry of Agriculture employees. File personnel are supposed to search chain stores in the cities of Balsa Nova and Ponta Grossa in Parana.
