In 2019, a beluga whale was seen off the coast of Norway wearing a ribbon similar to that of a horse, raising suspicions it could have been trained as a spy by the Russians. Last Sunday (28), this same whale appeared off the coast of Sweden, a country on its way to becoming a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

When a beluga whale was first seen in Norwegian waters, the halter it was wearing was removed by Norwegian marine biologists. The tape contained a video camera mount and the words “St. Petersburg equipment” were written on the plastic clips. Authorities have suggested that the whale may have escaped from captivity and may have been trained by the Russian Navy, given its behavior familiar to humans.

The Barents Sea is a strategic geopolitical area, where there is a large movement of Russian and Western submarines. So far, the Russian government has not commented on the beluga whale.

A beluga, or beluga whale, is seen swimming with a device attached to its body, near a fishing boat off the northern coast of Norway.

At that time, the Norwegians called the whale Hvaldemir, which caused them to pronounce “whale” in Norwegian, “Hval”, and “Vladimir” referring to the Russian names.

Hvaldimir has spent more than three years off the coast of Norway and was recently seen off Hunnebostrand, off the coast of Sweden. Biologists believe that the animal could be searching for a partner or a group of whales, because belugas are social animals, and Hvaldemir was alone. It is estimated that the lifespan of a Pisces is between 13 and 14 years, which is a stage when hormone levels are high.
