British Cathedral officials say a book in a recent mail was taken from the cathedral’s library 300 years ago.

A 1704 reprint of a work written in 1688 by Reverend Keith Farrow, deputy dean of Sheffield Cathedral, came in the mail a week ago, with a note from a woman explaining its appearance. He writes UPI Portal.

“He [o livro] It came back to us because a woman from Wales, whose grandmother had died, found it in her possessions. The tradition was that he should return it to Sheffield Cathedral. ” Said Ferro to Sheffield Star Edition.

Sometimes real life is more wonderful than fiction.

“Inside, it’s actually dated 1709, it’s well written, it says ‘This book belongs to the Sheffield Church Library, it’s Sheffield Cathedral,'” he explained.

The canon explained that it was a popular local resource until the cathedral library closed in the 1800s.

Pharaoh said the cathedral could buy “a new roof” if book delivery fees were charged late. “But I assured the family I would not charge a fine – they returned the book and it was wonderful,” he said.
