    The ANS (National Agency for Complementary Health) on Thursday (July 4, 2024) released a list of nine health plans whose sales will be temporarily suspended starting July 9 due to complaints about health care coverage. The suspended plans are:

    • Univida Coletivo by Membership – Apartment;
    • Univida Coletivo by dispensary membership;
    • Univida Coletivo by Membership – Enferm C Cop;
    • Univida Coletivo for National Adhesion – Police;
    • Univeda Empresarial 3 – Apartment;
    • Diamond;
    • Medical Industrial 200;
    • Prime 400;
    • Ruby.

    The suspension is part of Service Assurance Oversight, which regularly monitors sector performance and works to protect health plan consumers.

    In total, this measure protects 14,063 beneficiaries, as these plans will not be able to be sold again to new customers unless operators show an improvement in monitoring results.

    Operators with the worst outcomes are evaluated more frequently, those who pose a health care risk are identified, and plans that would temporarily block new beneficiaries are banned.

    The list of plans is re-evaluated every three months, and operators that no longer pose a risk to healthcare are released, through monitoring, to submit plans for new sales.
