    Exactly two months ago, Kate Middleton revealed, through a video on social media, that she was fighting cancer. Away from public life and work, according to the latest update on her health condition, the Princess of Wales is not expected to return to active duty anytime soon.

    A Kensington Palace spokesman told the BBC: “The Princess is not expected to return to work until her medical team clears her to do so,” explaining that “early childhood will remain the focus of her public work.”

    This reference appears to be linked to the release of a report by the Royal Foundation's Center for Early Childhood, which calls for increased investment by companies in children's early years and which has the support of Kate Middleton.

    Christian Guy, the project's executive director, cited by the BBC, said the Princess of Wales is “excited” about the foundation's campaign, and although she is out of the public eye, she remains informed about the work.

    “Businesses can play a very important role now in supporting their current workforce, but there is also a longer-term opportunity to take a deeper preventive approach and invest in early childhood to protect and strengthen future generations,” William and Kate On wrote.     When announcing her illness, Kate Middleton did not reveal the type of cancer she was fighting, but she said that she was undergoing chemotherapy. The tumor was discovered during abdominal surgery that the Princess of Wales underwent.
