    There has been a lot of speculation about the Nintendo Switch 2, but so far, the Japanese giant has remained tight-lipped about its new console.

    However, everything could change soon. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has officially confirmed that the successor to the Nintendo Switch will be announced this fiscal year (which runs until March 2025).

    Furthermore, Furukawa confirmed that a Nintendo Direct is scheduled to be held in June where they will showcase their 2024 Switch game catalog.

    “I am Furukawa, President of Nintendo. We will be making an announcement about the successor to the Nintendo Switch this fiscal year. It has been over nine years since we announced the existence of the Nintendo Switch in March 2015. We will be holding a Nintendo Direct meeting in June about the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the second half of 2015. 2024, but note that there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.”

    So, it looks like the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting closer, and now it's just a matter of waiting for more information.
