Flamenco is one of the largest platforms in the world
The famous FourFourTwo magazine in the United Kingdom recently prepared a ranking of the most productive and successful youth teams in the world, which includes 32 clubs, five of which are from Brazil: São Paulo, Santos, Flamengo, Fluminense and Botafogo.
Flamengo finished best among Brazilian clubs, finishing 13th overall. The launch highlights the club's long tradition of developing talent, from icons such as Zico and Adriano to contemporary names such as Lucas Paqueta and Vinicius Junior.
A consistent ability to produce top talent over the years has been highlighted as a hallmark of Flamenco's youth teams.
With this in mind, BolaVip BR compiled a list of eight talents from the Red and Black youth divisions:
Zigo:
Considered the greatest player in Flamenco's history and the greatest player in Brazilian football. Zigo was unveiled by the club in the 1970s and became a red and black idol.
Emperor Hadrian:
Released in the 2000s, Adriano had a unique spell at the club until making history in Italian football. On his return to Fla, he became the Brazilian champion.
Vinicius Jr.:
Vinny Jr. was sold before making his professional debut and was traded to Real Madrid in 2018. Since then, he has stood out in Spanish football, having already won all the titles possible for the Merengues.
Paulo Nunes:
A speedy striker and top scorer, the “Blonde Devil” started his career at Flamenco. He stood out at the club before playing for other Brazilian football teams, winning important titles with all of them.
Adeleo:
A talented midfielder, Adelio was exposed by Flamengo. He was part of the team that won the 1980 Brazilian Championship and the 1981 Copa Libertadores da America.
Julio Caesar:
One of the greatest goalkeepers in Brazilian history, Julio Cesar had a remarkable spell at the club. Also played for Brazil at the World Cup and became an idol at Inter Milan.
John:
A defender of great technical quality, Juan was exposed by Flamengo and ended his career at Rubro-Negro, winning the 2019 Brazilian Championship.
Younger:
A talented full-back and midfielder, Flamengo's idol. Revealed through the junior club and was part of the generation that won the Copa Libertadores da America and Mundial Interclubes in 1981.
