WhatsApp is constantly innovating and introducing new features to improve user experience. The latest updates, discovered in beta testing, promise to change the way we interact in conversations and statuses.

One of the most important changes is the activation of the “Like” button in WhatsApp statuses. This button, available in version 2.24.8.6 of the app under test, aims to make it easier for users to interact with status updates from their contacts.

Although the design has been finalized, some users have reported crash issues when using it, indicating the need for modifications before the official launch.

WhatsApp will introduce new interactions In addition, WhatsApp is improving emoji interactions, similar to those already on Instagram, for media shared in conversations. Currently, responding to photos and videos in a chat can be a complex and time-consuming process that requires several steps.

However, a new response bar is being developed, which will include an emoji button visible even when an image or video is displayed full screen. This addition promises to simplify and make expressing your reactions easier, both in one-on-one conversations and in groups.

An additional feature revealed in the application In a recent leak from the WABetaInfo website, an additional feature was revealed that promises to increase security in conversations: secret code protection. This function, which should be exclusive to the main device, will not only provide an additional layer of security, but will also keep conversations safe outside the main app screen.

A new section called “Locked Chats” will be created to store these protected conversations, providing more privacy and control to WhatsApp users.
