Scotland Yard, the United Kingdom's police force that already has possession of the super sports car, made the announcement on Monday.

The red car was stolen from the hotel where Berger, the Ferrari driver, was staying at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola. On the same day, a gray Ferrari 355B owned by Frenchman Jean Alessi, Austria's partner in the Maranello team that year, went missing.

Last January, Scotland Yard received notice from Ferrari to inspect a 2023 car bought by an American through a British negotiator. Investigation revealed that the super sports car was stolen.

During the investigation, agents discovered Testarossa had been sent to Japan shortly after the robbery in Imola and arrived in the UK late last year.

The value of the car is estimated at more than 400 thousand euros, which is equivalent to R$2.1 million.

The Dutchman topped the podium alongside team-mate Sergio Perez in a one-two finish for Red Bull at the Sagheer Circuit.

Considering the last races of last season, Verstappen has racked up eight wins in a row and amassed a total of 55 career victories.

Third place went to Spaniard Carlos Sainz of Ferrari. Monaco's Charles Leclerc, the Italian team's driver, finished fourth, followed by George Russell of Mercedes.

In turn, Lando Norris finished sixth for McLaren, with Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastre, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll rounding out the top 10.

Formula 1 returns next weekend with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on March 9.
