China tells ROK and UK to stop making irresponsible comments on issues related to Chinese core interests

China last Friday asked the Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom to stop making irresponsible comments on issues of China’s core interests and core concerns.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mao Ning made the comments at a press conference where he was asked to comment on the contents of the Downing Street agreement signed by Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the Chinese territory. Taiwan and the South and East China Seas.

Noting that Taiwan was an inalienable part of Chinese territory, Mao emphasized that the Taiwan issue was entirely China’s internal matter and no interference by any outside power would be tolerated.

As for issues related to the South and East China Seas, neither the Republic of Korea nor the United Kingdom are interested parties, and there have never been any issues regarding “freedom of navigation and overturning,” he said.

“China urges relevant parties to stop making irresponsible comments on issues related to China’s core interests and major concerns, and to be more cautious in what they say and do,” Mao demanded.
