Available since this Thursday (14) for all platforms, Al Crew Car Festival It promises a racing game full of fun and excitement for its players. It consists of a sequence Crew 2released in 2018.

The title was developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft. Did the third game in the series bring improvements to the franchise? What highlights does it offer? TudoCelular has tried it and tells you about it in this analysis.

    Story and game modes

The story revolves around a series of pilots who face a series of challenges on the Big Island of Hawaii. The space is imaginative but quite large for the player to venture around the map.

During the missions it is possible to interact with CARA, a virtual assistant that will provide more details about the destination and the next missions that the player will have to follow to participate.

in Al Crew Car Festival, the developer sought to mix a series of game modes during the campaign, as part of the playlist system. Each has its own rules and racing dynamics.

You can enjoy the “Made in Japan” logo based on night street racing; Or even an “off-road” mode that offers rally racing; Legacy Mode, without Nitro or GPS and with older cars; Or even F1 GPs, which includes tire wear and eliminates the use of nitro.

It is worth noting that the game is translated into Portuguese. In other words, both menus and subtitles are available in Brazilian, for a better understanding of the entire experience. However, it does not come by default.

    the way of playing

It is important to understand that Al Crew Car Festival This is not a racing simulator. It is more suitable for an arcade game, as with Forza Horizon 5, For example. In fact, the island decoration in Ivory Tower is very reminiscent of what we found in the Playground Games title.

But unlike what we have in the competitor, here the gameplay is more extensive and with a series of challenges that go beyond the race itself, which makes the game more fun and diverse. Not to mention, there are a limited number of playlists here and after each one you unlock more cars – which is essential for some playlists.

As you progress, you gain XP when you reach specific speeds along the road on the map, by doing so the point In races or depending on your position after each challenge. Players can also use Nitro while racing – except in modes that require none, such as Formula 1 – to increase speed. The bar fills automatically during the race.

There’s also an online mode, in which you can compete not only in races, but also in other demolition challenges – a kind of ‘Battle Royale’ for cars, complete with protective armor to last longer – with a series of other players simultaneously.

The controls aren’t exciting or have any innovative features, but they’re very easy to learn. In other words, even those who have never played the series will be able to learn the commands easily.

    Graphics and soundtrack

In the graphical part, we have two different cases. On one side, there are groups and cars. The developer has worked well to make the environments very beautiful and eye-catching, and the vehicles are full of details with good customization by the player.

On the other hand, we find characters whose appearance does not hide their artificiality and breaks the immersion offered by the game a little. It’s also often common to find shadows of cars on the map, rather than “real” cars, which makes the experience somewhat eerie.

However, even because it’s not a simulation, it’s not a game to give its entire appearance much realism. The focus – the tracks and cars – are well represented graphically.

Moving on to the soundtrack, we had a good experience in that regard. The chosen songs fit well with the game proposition and provide the right amount of emotion to enjoy the game.

The only thing missing here is Portuguese dubbing for the characters and the virtual assistant. We always reinforce the importance of this, to create greater identification with the local audience – this will complement the rest of the localization process in Brazil.

    Final considerations

Al Crew Car Festival It attracts those who like a fun racing game with many challenges. The game modes are called playlists and provide a very interesting dynamic to the campaign.

The gameplay requires the player to always run at high speed and performance Drifts, to get more XP and level up. The game in general is not as complete as Forza Horizon 5Although it has several elements similar to the competitor, its proposal also seeks to follow a different path.

The graphics alternate between well-designed scenes and cars, and more artificial-looking avatars. The soundtrack at least helps maintain good immersion while exploring the map.
