The rare phenomenon known as a “supercell”, which is a giant formation of a highly charged cloud, was recorded in northwest China last Saturday (12).

The cloud was filmed in the city of Tacheng, in an area that has seen storms in recent days.
The photos were published by CCTV (China Central Television).
Supercell thunderstorms are characterized by the circulation of air within these clouds, and there may be tornadoes. In general, rain can cover a diameter of up to 10 km.
