    The Brazilian Paralympic Triathlon team won two silver medals at the World Series in Swansea, Wales last weekend. The wins went to Jessica Messali from São Paulo (PTWC class) and Ronan Cordero (PTS5) from Paraná defending Praia Club/MG.

    Ronan finished the race in 28 minutes 11 minutes, ahead of German Martin Schulz, who won the gold medal in 27 minutes 43 seconds. Jack Howell (28min.51) completed the podium. Jessica ended her streak in 32 minutes and was only behind French Mona Francis (30min 05s). Bronze went to British athlete Melissa Nicholls (32 v 32).

    “Friday at Swansea 2023 World Series Paratriathlon Swansea. Three weeks of competition on the circuit, it was a great challenge! Thanks to the whole team for the work, it was fantastic. Now to go back, hug the family and get on with the second part of the year. Thank you very much”, said the man from Parana.

    In early July, Ronan won gold at the Paralympic Triathlon World Cup in Spain, played in A Coruña. Then, on the last 9th, in Canada, He and Jessica won bronze at the World Series in Montreal.
