With each passing day, new discoveries are made that surprise everyone. Recently, it was announced Archaeologists found a mummy in Peru Which is estimated to be 3000 years old.

The archaeological find was made in Lima, the capital of Peru. This was the latest revelation relating to pre-Hispanic times in the region.

    How was it discovered?

According to sources connected to the Peruvian press, it all started with a group of students from the University of San Marcos who, together with some researchers, carried out modest excavations.

At first, only remains of hair and a skull were found. In order to learn more, the excavations continued until the rest of the mummy came to light.

According to an archaeologist who participated in the excavations, some assumptions have been made, including that the mummy belongs to the Mancha culture, which developed in the valleys of Lima in the years 1500 to 1000 BC.

This culture also became known thanks to the temples built in the shape of the letter U, which indicates the rising sun.

For the archaeologist himself, the mummified body went to the place where it was found there through an offering during the last phase of building a temple in the surrounding areas.

Other items were found with the mummy. Among them are corn grains, coca leaves and seeds. For those responsible for the discovery, these items were part of the aforementioned offer.

Other tests are performed on the mummy to determine other information, such as the age and gender of the mummified person.
