The days after the release of new versions of Apple’s operating systems are always dedicated to checking everything that has been announced.

As usual, the company leaves some functionality out of the first versions of new systems – it releases them in subsequent updates. In the iOS 17In the iPadOS 17In the watchOS 10 no macOS Sonoma 14this wouldn’t be any different.

Therefore, in this article we will detail some examples of resources that will be released during these versions of operating systems, that is, which will not be available at launch (in versions 0, for example).

    here we are?! 😉

    NameDrop on watchOS

One of the coolest new features of the new systems is NameDrop, which lets you share your contact or other personal information by bringing your iPhone close to the Apple Watch of the person you want to do it with. However, Apple has made it clear that this functionality will come to watchOS 10 later, with an update “at the end of the year.”

    AirDrop improvement

A nice novelty of AirDrop is that you can continue to transfer a file using the Internet, even if it is far from the resource and the two of you (you and the recipient) are connected in an iCloud account.

According to Apple, the feature will be available later this year.

    Diary application

New in iOS 17, the app Daily (magazine) It will enable users to record moments worth remembering through text, photos and videos, as well as using machine learning to suggest what to write — which, according to Apple, can contribute to your well-being. In addition to the application itself, the API1 Developers only later.

    Collaborative playlists on Apple Music

Subscribers to Apple’s music streaming service will be able to invite friends to collaborate on their playlists, allowing all participants to add, remove, and rearrange songs. It will also be possible to add reactions on the playback screen.

According to Apple, this feature will also be available later this year.

    Broadcasting on hotel TVs

In selected hotels it will be possible to connect your devices to the TVs in the rooms to enjoy content during the trip, for example. Apple’s first partner will be IHG Hotels & Resorts, but the feature won’t arrive until the end of the year.

Of course, as iOS 17 testing progresses, Apple may remove or add new features to this list. We will therefore have to wait until the final version is released to find out (in fact) all the initial news.
