Nubank has created a new function that allows customers to increase the credit card limit through amounts deposited in Caixinhas. With Nu Limite Garantido, the customer will be able to use the amount saved in a fund to increase the amount of credit while the amounts continue to return through RDBs.

If the consumer does not pay the amounts owed on the card, the funds stored in Box They will be used to settle the outstanding debts on the seventh day of the delay, however the saved amount can only be withdrawn after the customer pays the outstanding bill, because it acts as a “guarantee”.

The new tool can be activated by the application itself, with reservations starting from a real one. According to information from fintech, customers have been asking for the new feature for a long time, but this version of the option will gradually happen among Brazilian users.

Nubank wants to offer more credit options

Rusen Baragiola, President of the Nubank Cards Sector, noted that “Nu Limite Garantido is an innovation that makes the customer’s money work more difficult for him, acting as a greater purchasing power, with an instant limit increase, also with a small fund income.”

In addition, Baragiola claims that this is also the first step for financial technology to be able to offer more options for secured credit to your customers. With this, the financial assets of the users themselves can be used as collateral. All in a practical and secure way within the app.

Nubank states that only the money deposited will be used to award the increase in the limit, i.e. the income from the investment made cannot be placed as collateral for the card. After choosing No limit guaranteedThe customer may cancel the option at any time, as long as the invoice is not overdue.
