She has been hospitalized since last Thursday (5/1) at a clinic in Rio de Janeiro due to discomfort in her stomach, singer Britta Gil, 48, reported via her official Instagram profile on Tuesday (10/1), who was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma – Carcinoma – in the last part of the intestine.

“I have adenocarcinoma in the last part of my intestine,” the singer wrote in part of the statement. “I start my treatment next Monday and rely on everyone’s energy to stay calm and confident.”

Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that affects the glandular and epithelial tissues of the apocrine organs. The term is derived from “gland,” which means gland, and “carcinoma,” which describes epithelial cancer. It is the most common type of cancer, and is considered a malignant tumor.
