It is estimated that the number of people entitled to access the resources is about 32 million.
According to BC, the SVR will again receive information from banks from January next year. However, this does not mean that consultations and returns will take place at the same time, that is, there is still no date for withdrawals to occur again. The system is expected to be improved and released again next year.
Returns amounts by BC
In the next authorization stage, in addition to forgotten balances in financial accounts and investments, fees charged by financial institutions unnecessarily and credit obligations not stipulated in contracts will also be reversed.
Regarding the release of the method, a date should be announced in early 2023, after central bank Index of all data received by financial institutions. In this way, the Brazilians who will be able to access the forgotten values are:
- 23.58 million customers will be able to receive up to R$10;
- 7.94 million R$ between R$10 and R$100;
- 2.86 million R$ between R$100 and R$1,000;
- 476.5 thousand have more than a thousand Brazilian reals.
Moreover, there are expectations that in the second stage of the SRV, the heirs and legal representatives will be able to withdraw amounts from the accounts of deceased or disabled persons. It is worth noting that this was indeed an expected measure in the central bank’s plan.
New rules for receivables
The receivables system has undergone some changes after the end of the first phase. One of them is that it will not be superfluous to make an appointment. In this way, the citizen will be able to request the withdrawal of funds at the time of the first consultation.
In addition, the system will rely on new information passed by financial institutions. That is, those who did not have amounts to receive at the first stage should go through the system again, as a new amount may be available.
