Sunak “reiterated his congratulations” to Lula for winning the Brazilian election and the two “agreed on the importance of promoting democratic values,” the British government said in a statement. During the call, they tackled topics such as democracy and environmental protection.
The president-elect told Britain of plans to protect Brazil’s biodiversity “and make the transition to a green economy”.

“Our countries have many things in common, including a love of football, so we offer our condolences for tonight’s results,” he wrote.
In addition to Europe, Lula works to improve Brazil’s relations with Latin America and the United States. PT was called to meet Joe BidenSources from the US president and Reuters agency said they are planning to move to the US in January.
