    The British government launched two partnerships this Thursday (10).     During the event, Salvador Mayor Bruno Reyes highlighted the importance of schools with bilingual education. “Next year we are going to start 10 bilingual schools, where classes will be held in English like a private network on the opposite shift. Later, classes in other subjects and other activities will be in English for the children to master that language”, he said.

    Municipal Education Secretary Marcelo Oliveira highlighted the partnerships and indicated how they will be developed in the municipality. “Most of the books on the internet are in English. So, we have to create this access opportunity for children. We are in this project to qualify teachers and at the same time create science clubs.     Marcelo Oliveira also highlighted that the new tools are learning stimuli for students and teachers. “What we are creating here is to promote education to these children as a lever for progress, an opportunity for economic and social advancement. We had traditional schools, schools from the 9th century, and today these young people are not satisfied with this style. We need to create new opportunities,” he said.

    And according to the secretary, the city of Salvador distributes 106 thousand tablets to students, with an additional 8 thousand Chromebooks distributed to teachers.
