Today begins the temporary suspension of 70 health funds, set by the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS), following complaints from beneficiaries in the second quarter.
This action affects 1.6 million users, who are still covered.
The main complaints relate to non-compliance with the deadlines for examinations, consultations and surgical procedures, as well as denial of care coverage.
The agency analyzed 37,936 complaints between April 1 and June 30, 2022.
According to the ANS, the suspension will be reversed if operators show an improvement in the monitoring score for the next quarter.
