Extinction Rebellion spokeswoman Nuala Lam told British media BBC News That about 50 people took part in the work in and around the two Houses of Parliament.
In a video released by the group, protesters called for a “democratic system” that would allow “ordinary people to be consulted” on the issue of climate change.

According to the information received from BBCA spokeswoman said the activists were on a guided tour of the British legislature when they took the action. Other protesters were photographed putting up banners outside Parliament.
The palace will be empty due to the MPs’ summer vacation. A Commons spokesman said: “We are aware of an incident in Parliament and are currently dealing with the situation urgently.”
