    Out of Globo since 2019, when Retired as a TV presenterSergio Chaplin made a rare appearance at the station on Sunday (17). Now a farmer, the 81-year-old journalist sent a letter to Leo Batista, another veteran of the company, who has been honored by Esporte Espetacular because he will turn 90 next Friday (22).

    “Hi Leo. It’s great to know you’re 90 now. I’d like to get your fibres. I hope you stay strong for a long time. A big hug from this old fellow,” Chaplin said.

    Since retiring three years ago, the former Globo Repórter and Jornal Nacional captain have moved to a farm in Itamonte, Minas Gerais. The former announcer admitted, in an interview with the newsin 2019.
