Katie McDermott, 25, was one of the contestants in the race during her daughter’s school sports festival in Coventry, England, and she did everything she could to win the race.

A video that went viral in England shows Katie pushing a competitor away in a school race near the finish line of the race – see the recording at the end of the text.

Katie explained, “I told my daughter she was going to be number one, so I had to be. I saw that she (the mother of another kid at school) was winning, so I gave her a push and she got down on the floor.” According to the statement Coventry Life local website.

She even apologized for the incident, although she said she doesn’t regret paying. The mother stated, “If you watch this video, I apologize for pushing you, I didn’t mean to make you fly. I don’t regret it, because I won.”

Katie has received a lot of criticism for her behavior on social media. “What a great example for your daughter,” one person highlighted in the comments posted to the Coventry Life post. Another added, “She didn’t win because she lost. Disgusting cheater who should apologize to the real winner.” A third wrote: “The school should ban her from sports days in the future.”
