    On Monday (23) Nestlé announced the acquisition of pure life A healthy food brand that has generated revenue of R$300 million during its six years of existence. The transaction amount was not disclosed.

    Adrian Franciscono and Flavio Passos, the founders of Puravida, will continue to run the business as CEOs of Nestlé. The brand will be affiliated with Nestlé Health Science, a division of nutrition and health products. In Brazil, the department already offers nutritional supplements, protein powders, and ready-to-drink beverages. With Puravida, the range should be expanded to include vitamins, minerals, and other supplements.

    Puravida has more than 200 products in its portfolio, approximately 400 employees, and prior to the sale, she spoke about seeking a contribution to sustain an ambitious growth plan. Expansion in recent years has been driven by the Brazilian director Acqua Capital, who invested in the company in 2020. Nestlé acquired 100% of the company’s shares, including the director’s share.

    Puravida began operating in 2015 and ended 2021 with a turnover of R$295 million – an increase of 42% over the previous year.
