Lapsus$hacker group, which has already attacked Microsoft and Samsung, allegedly led by a teenager

The Lapsus$hacker group has been in the media spotlight for its connection to frequent cyber-attacks targeting large corporations, such as SamsungAnd the nvidia And the MicrosoftIn addition to Brazilian Ministry of Health. However, it is the mind behind the group that could make her work even more surprising. That’s because, according to information from Bloomberg, the leader is an English teenager.

This information is based on preliminary investigations by four researchers tasked with finding those responsible for recent attacks on major companies. The $Lapsus leader will use the names “White” and “Breachbase” on the Internet.

So far the boy has not been charged by law enforcement, although they have suspicions, investigators have not yet been able to link him to all the hacking attacks linked to Lapsus$.

The young pirate is a minor and lives about five miles from Oxford University. The Bloomberg journalist was able to contact the boy’s mother, but she refused to make statements and allow an interview with her son.

Although White is the head of $Lapsus, the group appears to be made up of several people: suspicion falls on another teenager, of Brazilian nationality, and seven other accounts that have been traced through the group’s activities.

The hacking team Lapsus$ will be especially capable and prepared. According to the investigation’s analysis, one of the members appears to be so skilled that the researchers thought his work was robotic. In other words, a hacker is as fast as a bot.

There are suspicions that one of the key members of $Lapsus is a hacker identified by the internet nicknames “Oklaqq” or “WhiteDoxbin”, possibly linked to the hacking attack carried out against EA last year and the recruitment of new members to the group.

Last year, WhiteDoxbin bought Doxbin (a doxing site, i.e. a platform where you can find sensitive data from thousands of people). However, he did not succeed as an administrator and sold the platform back to the previous owner, but as a “retaliation” he released the entire site database. In response, users leaked information about the hacker, including videos depicting him near his home in the UK.

There are plenty of clues, but it’s still not enough to incriminate hackers. What is certain is that the more companies and victims of $Lapsus, the more you will close the circle around those responsible.
