Russian soldiers control the Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhya nuclear plants, along with Ukrainian guards and officials, according to Alexei Bolchuk, director of the 2nd Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to information from the Russian Foreign Ministry. The Russian news agency, “Sputnik”, Polishchuk, said that the two stations had returned to work normally, and that radiation levels were also normal, “which is confirmed by the International Energy Agency (International Atomic Energy Agency).” The mission focuses on “preventing the provocation of Ukrainian national forces against these critical infrastructure facilities.” According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant again suffered blackouts today due to Russian forces, although power is now restored, according to data provided by the Ukrainian authorities. “Radiation levels in all nuclear plants are at normal levels,” the International Atomic Energy Agency said based on information from the Ukrainian Atomic Energy Corporation. The IAEA, based on information from the Ukrainian nuclear operator, said that “the radiation levels in all nuclear power plants are at normal levels.”
