What should have been a treat for good service ended up becoming grounds for dismissal at a restaurant in Arkansas, US. It all started when a group of clients presented 4.4 thousand US dollars (about 25 thousand Brazilian reais) Tipping waitress Ryan Brant Share with the other employee who attended the table. However, the director of the enterprise saw it fair to share the amount with all employees. Ryan didn’t agree and ended up getting fired.

The client group was led by Grant Wise, a local real estate owner, who organized a $100 Diner Club, where members go to restaurants and each contribute $100 tips.

The group decided to dine at the Over and Tap restaurant. Wise told the American channel KNWA who called the facility in advance to confirm that employees did not split the tip. At the end of dinner, Grant called the waitress who waited at the table, Ryan Brandt, and gave her a check for $4,400 to share with another employee, who was waiting at the table but had to leave.

Once the group left, Ryan said facility managers demanded that the tip be split with other employees. “They said I would have to hand my money over to the shift manager and take 20 percent of my money home.” She said this policy of sharing information has never happened in the three years she has worked on the site, and it has. He was planning to use the money to pay off student loans.

Ryan was fired and even banned from keeping the check.

After discovering the end of the good deed, Grant tried to call the restaurant to make sure everything was resolved, but he said the messages went unanswered. Grant returned to the restaurant, returned the check and handed it straight to Ryan Brant.

However, the employee did not get her job back. “I’m really sad to hear that the girl we tip last night at our $100 Dinner Club was fired. I don’t quite understand why this happened to a woman who seemed so cute and sweet,” he wrote on Facebook.

Then Grant created a cat online to help Ryan and raise $8,700, about 49,500 Brazilian reais.
