‘Pulsar Fusion’, a UK startup aimed to become a major player in Europe’s nuclear fusion technology, last week tested a rocket engine using hybrid fuels made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) and nitrous oxide oxidizer.

HDPE, or HDPE, is used in a wide range of plastic products, such as beverage bottles and detergents, and is considered a unique way to power high-powered rockets.
To Richard Dinan, CEO of the company, the results were very satisfactory, and ‘Pulsar Fusion’ was one of the few companies in the world to develop and test the technology.
The use of plastic waste for launching rockets is seen in a positive light because the material has a high potential for contamination and has not yet been recycled globally.
So the startup wants to launch a fusion propulsion engine in standard testing by 2025, and then send a rocket into Earth’s orbit in 2027.
