The series is still unknown, it will show behind-the-scenes footage of the 2021 season; With that, MotoGP hopes to reach new fans

MotoGP announced Thursday (25) that it will be showing an eight-episode series around the 2021 season on Amazon Prime Video. The global launch will be in 2022 and follows the strategy adopted by Netflix since 2019 with the “Drive to Survive” series, which appears behind the scenes in Formula 1 and has been a popular success, especially among young people.

Still without an official name, the series promises to show you everything related to the current season, which includes behind the scenes, team meetings and the personal side of the drivers and other participants in the championship, including stars Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. Until the retirement of the Italian multi-champion, he will be explored extensively in this series. The footage is part of a collaboration between Dorna Sports, which owns the commercial rights to MotoGP, and Spanish media group Mediapro.

Close cooperation between all parties ensures its success. During this intense season that ended in Valencia, the joint work between Dorna and Mediapro has been consistent, with the idea of extracting the best and most memorable moments from every Grand Prix of the season. Partnering with six manufacturers, teams and drivers will help us enjoy many things that have so far been kept behind closed doors, creating a great quality product,” Manel Arroyo, Commercial Director of Dorna Sports celebrated.

The series is expected to debut in some of the major MotoGP markets such as France, Italy and Spain. After that, it will be launched in more than 150 regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.
