a Hyundai Brazil It continues to show the new generation of dropper Crete 2022, a model that will be the brand’s next launch in the country. This time, the manufacturer has released a video that reveals the front of the compact SUV, which according to the automaker will be exclusive to Brazil, as well as a sunroof – which will be much larger in the new model.

In the video released by Hyundai today, the front of the compact SUV was revealed in more detail, which will have a hexagonal grille (as in the Russian version), as well as a silver finish and chrome trim. The difference from us is that there is a second air intake located just below the grille. In addition, the video more clearly shows the longer hood, pronounced wheel covers, headlights with LED daytime running lights around the main headlights and taillights with well-defined LED stripes, further enhancing the car’s identity at night. Despite the harassment, we have already posted on Motor1.com the new Crete “totally naked” on the streets.

It’s good now that the new Crete has revealed a slightly larger portion of its interior, which will have a refinement leap over the current model. There’s beige and brown lining, a soft-touch surface finish on the dashboard, an exclusive straight-top steering wheel, a 7-inch center-display dashboard flanked by analog tachometers and fuel gauge, and a 10.25″ screen multimedia center.

The video also includes a “T” transmission with brushed chrome and leatherette finishes, digital air conditioning and a rotary knob for the drive mode selector (in Standard, Smart, Eco and Sport options) in the center console. Another feature is the electric panoramic sunroof, which according to the brand is one of the largest in its class.

It should be noted that other equipment such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and camera blind spot monitoring have been confirmed. Previous photos also revealed an electronic parking brake with an automatic hold function and ventilated seats.

So far, the South Korean brand has not released information on the engine, but everything indicates that the 1.6 engine with 130 hp and 16.5 kgf m will be replaced by a three-cylinder 1.0 turbocharged engine equipping the HB20, which produces 120 hp and 17.5 kgf. More expensive variants will keep the 2.0-liter four-cylinder suction engine, which in the current configuration is 166 hp and 20.5 kgf/min. Regardless of the engine, the new Crete will be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, which always comes with front-wheel drive.

Hyundai should follow up with more information in the coming weeks, revealing little by little in the video the details of the new 2022 Crete. It will be in production in Piracicaba (SP) as a current model, with a launch scheduled for the end of this year, later in January 2022.
