The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that the strike team, led by British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, did not follow the US approach in approaching more than 12 nautical miles from China’s man-made islands.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the United Kingdom’s HMS Queen Elizabeth and her strike ship did not go near Beijing’s artificial islands as they sailed through the South China Sea. As mentioned above Wednesday (4) South China Morning Post.

The media reports that HMS Queen Elizabeth and other British and American ships are conducting navigation exercises in the region and conducting military maneuvers with other countries.

Thus, British warships did not directly challenge the 12-nautical-mile regional fortress around the islands claimed by China, as the United States did, the Chinese Presidential Palace commented.

Second Report On Sunday (1), the Guardian newspaper, military sources said that they had no plans to hold a naval confrontation with China in the South China Sea after the Chinese military warned against provocation. The British Chancellor did not respond to a request for comment.

“When navigating the South China Sea, naval vessels of other countries must comply with international law, respect the rights and sovereignty of coastal countries, and avoid acts that could disrupt regional peace,” he said. A source close to China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) expressed satisfaction with the “low performance of the British aircraft carrier team” in the region.

The United Kingdom has joined the United States in conducting “navigation freedom” operations and military exercises in the Asia-Pacific region. The team, led by HMS Queen Elizabeth, left the UK two months ago and will conduct military exercises in the Philippine Sea with the United States, Australia, France and Japan by the end of 2021.

Wu Qian, a spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry, said China opposes the existence of a “naval presence for provocative purposes” as far as the freedom of navigation exercises in the region is concerned.

“The Chinese military is using all necessary means to deal with it [ações provocativas] Determined and effective, “he told The Guardian on Sunday.
