The cooperative celebrates the success of its work aimed at mental health by promoting culture, leisure and well-being

Six months ago, Espaço da Américas, the largest concert hall in São Paulo, changed its name to Espaço Unimed. The change occurred after a naming rights agreement signed in May 2022 between Unimed Nacional, the sixth largest health plan operator in Brazil, with Grupo São Paulo Eventos. During this period, 67 shows were held, the total audience of which was about 300,000 people. All operators can be part of this experience with a 50% discount on the purchase of tickets.

“We have seen a positive presentation of our brand, since it is associated with a traditional space that for at least 20 years has been integrated into the cultural agenda of the city of São Paulo,” said the President of Unimed Nacional, Luiz Paulo Tostes Coimbra. The investment allows us to implement what we believe in: caring for people in an integrated way, as Unimed focuses on providing quality experiences to people, achieving well-being and improving the quality of life.”

The purchase of the naming rights for Espaço das Américas is part of Unimed’s business plan to invest in and recognize cultural spaces in São Paulo as a brand that goes beyond physical care. The aim of the co-op is also concerned with mental health, promoting culture, leisure, diversity, and people-to-people encounters.

The operator also names Teatro Unimed, which opened in 2019 in Alameda Santos, in Jardins, São Paulo. The space has already promoted 71 shows, to about 7 thousand spectators. Offers are offered from Friday to Sunday, and Unimed beneficiaries, as well as at Espaço Unimed, receive a 50% discount when presenting the card.

Unrefrigerated umbrella in Sao Paulo

Another important initiative is the strengthening of the partnership between Unimed Nacional and Rentbrella, where 350 stations have been made available to share 40,000 free umbrellas in the city of São Paulo. We added about 800,000 shares in the first half of 2022. Thus, we seek to reduce the demand for environmental resources and abandon non-recyclable umbrellas, through collective service.
