Peugeot decided to anticipate the official presentation and released the first official images of the E-3008. The electric SUV marks the launch of the third generation Peugeot 3008, while the second generation will continue to be sold for a few more years with combustion or hybrid engines.

This preview already lets you see the directions taken by the French manufacturer’s design. The Peugeot E-2008 2024 will not need a front grille, but it mimics the piece with squares that give a three-dimensional effect. Above it is a black stripe connecting the headlights, and in the middle is the car’s name. It is worth noting that the headlights are fully LED and their light signature is integrated with the three vertical LED strips located at the bottom of the piece.

This time, the more traditionally structured version will be the E-5008, which has not been forgotten, but this silhouette is classified as The Fastback SUV (hello, Fiat!) has a more curving roofline that ends with a forged spoiler on the trunk lid.

It even reminds me a little of the Haval H6 GT in that it has headlights, invading the hood, and linked by a black stripe, but the panel on the bumper makes the Peugeot look lighter. The inverted “V”-shaped creases help give the impression of the vehicle’s width.

Peugeot has already impressed the world with images of the new dashboard concept that debuted with the E-3008. It’s the latest proposal from the i-Cockpit, which places a 21-inch screen suspended at the top of the dashboard, serving as the instrument panel and multimedia centre. The steering wheel, of course, maintains the smallest diameter.

Just below the screen are the air conditioning vents and a narrow color display with icons fully customizable by the driver, called i-Toggles. However, the physical buttons on the “Y”-shaped hanging controller contain the air conditioning functions. Below it is the induction charging base for smartphones.

The previous generation was already using fabric to cover the dashboard, but this generation has explored this solution that covers a large part of the dashboard, doors and armrest. Gear control is a switch on the right side of the steering wheel.

The Peugeot E-3008 is important for the entire Stellantis company because it debuts on the STLA Medium platform, which is said to be an evolution of the EMP2 created by PSA, but designed for the future of electric cars. This same platform will be used by the next generation Jeep Compass, for example.
