After quoting her mother-in-law in a newly released song, Shakira was going to place an enchanted doll on the balcony of the house, to tease Pique’s mother.
Shakira sings in an excerpt from the song: “My mother-in-law made me a neighbor, the press on the door and I owe federal revenue.” BZRP Music Sessions #53.
According to Spanish television programmes, Shakira would place a doll dressed as a witch on the balcony of the mansion where she lived, towards her mother-in-law’s house and would play her new role over and over again, loud and clear.

Despite the alleged provocations of her mother-in-law, the singer no longer lives in the house. She moved with her children to Miami after her divorce. However, the property, which is next to Pique’s mother’s home, is still owned by Shakira.
