Encouraged by Sociedade Brasileira do Hipril (SBQ), the event will include lectures and case studies with some of the greatest experts on the planet

Between September 7-10, the Sociedade Brasileira do Hipril (SBQ) will promote the 19th (19th) Brazilian Hip Congress. The event, which focuses on lectures on the topic and business presentations, will be 100% online in the 2021 edition, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference begins on the 7th of the initial scientific program which will select, through a theory exam and a theoretical-practical exam, the doctors who wish to obtain the title of aspiring associate of SBQ.

From the eighth to the tenth, the Brazilian Hip Congress will feature a thematic programme, which will be led by international delegates: A.J. Timberley, orthopedic surgeon and professor at the University of Exeter in the UK; John Charite, Specialist Traumatologist and Orthopedic at Exeter Hip Unit and Princess Elizabeth Orthopedic Centre, UK; Marius Kiel, Specialist Trauma, Spine, Pelvic, Hip and Joint Surgeon at Hirslanden Trauma Center in Zurich, Switzerland; Matthew Hubble, Consultant Orthopedic and Traumatologist, Exeter Hip Unit, UK; Matthew Wilson, MD, Princess Elizabeth Orthopedic Centre, UK; Peter Kay, Consultant Hip and Knee Surgeon at Wrightington Hospital, UK; Paul Rummens, Trauma and Orthopedic Surgeon at University Hospital Mainz, Germany; Renje Agricola, Orthopedic Surgeon at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands; and Stefan Weckert, a sports medicine surgeon and professor at Mannheim Straubing College, Germany.

“The past few months have been very complicated for Brazilians working in the health field. The pandemic has been a real hurricane in our lives. As professionals, we have had to reinvent ourselves and, above all, study hard to understand the consequences of this unprecedented crisis in our field of expertise. For these reasons Promoting the 19th (19th) Brazilian Hip Congress was very difficult and, above all, necessary,” comments the President of the Brazilian Hip Association, Giancarlo Cavalli Bolicillo. “We have successfully brought together some of the world’s leading experts in the field of hip, and promoted our excellence in medicine in a conference that will promote a significant exchange of experiences, highlighting key developments and recent studies in the sector,” adds Policello.

During the event, which is supported by the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT), topics such as “basic arthroplasty” (a surgical procedure that replaces, reshapes or realigns a joint) and “arthroplasty review” will be discussed. Surgery” and “trauma”. These are topics very relevant to the medical field. Issues that are gaining new approaches and that need to be discussed. Our proposal is that professionals share experiences and definitive information that can solve the problems of patients throughout Brazil”, adds Bolisello.
