In the early hours of Thursday (28), in Fortaleza, singer Solange Almeida underwent emergency surgery. The artist's team issued a statement stating that her condition is stable and recovering satisfactorily. However, due to the surgery, appointments and shows were cancelled.
The beginning of the note reads: “The office of the singer Solange Almeida informs that the artist underwent an unscheduled surgical intervention, in the early hours of March 28, in Fortaleza.” But Solange Almeida's team did not say what type of procedure was performed, only saying that the singer would need to stay away from the stage for a week.
He added: “The doctors who accompanied the artist reported that the operation took place within normal limits and that the artist will need absolute rest during the next seven days.” In view of what happened, all dates scheduled for the next few days will be postponed, including the show that was scheduled to take place next Saturday (30), in Nazareth (BA), for which we deeply regret and send our apologies.”
Solange Almeida's team stated that the artist would provide more details about what happened as soon as possible, and they asked for prayers for her. The text concluded: “We are counting on everyone’s positive energy for a quick recovery so that our star can return to the stage and to his commitments as quickly as possible.”
