Paulo André was born in Velha Velha, Espírito Santo, a participant in Brazil’s Big Brother programme. Many people had their first contact with the athlete in fact, but he really shone (and a lot) in Brazilian athletics. Discover some of his most important achievements:

May 2019 – World Champion in the 4x100m Relay in Japan

In Yokohama, Japan, Paulo Andre, Rodrigo Nascimento, Derek Silva and Jorge Fides won the world titles in the 4x100m relay. The second place went to the United States, which finished the race by only two hundred more than Brazil. Third place went to the United Kingdom.

August 2019 – Silver Medal in the 100m at Pan American in Lima

Three months after winning the World Cup, Paulo Andre won the silver medal in the most noble event in athletics, the 100-meter sprint. The Brazilian completed the race in 10s16, behind American (and race favorite) Mike Rodgers. The bronze went to Sighai Green of Antigua and Barbuda.

August 2021 – reached the semi-finals of the 100-meter sprint at the Tokyo Olympics

At the Tokyo Olympics, Paulo Andre failed to qualify for the 100-meter final. In the semi-finals, the athlete came in eighth place. The Brazilian had one of the biggest hopes for a medal in the competition.
