Patricia Abrafanel took over the Silvio Santos program in fear, after her father tested positive for Covid-19. Almost two years have passed. She looks a lot more relaxed now, smiling, “baby planes” and talking to the audience during intermissions. But it wasn’t always this way. At first, I was terrified of interacting with guests. He was afraid that he was “stealing” a place that had always belonged to his father.

“I didn’t feel comfortable making jokes with the audience, because it was his defining characteristic… I thought: Oh, there’s no fun with me. We used to make frames too long. Despite her insecurities, Patricia did well – at least in her father’s opinion. The presenter revealed that one of the reasons he didn’t return to the attraction was his confidence in her work. “He’s a much better father than the caller you know. He’s sharing and loving… Of course, he’s very angry. He knows, he and my mom, that they are strong women. Always encourage me,” he said.

Iris Abrafanel walked right into the studio while explaining to her daughter. Four of Patricia’s sisters – Cynthia, Silvia, Rebecca and Renata – were already in the first row of the hall, where they accompanied most of the recordings. However, the businesswoman admitted that she was embarrassed to call him back for a start. At 93, the “chest man” just wants to take some time for himself, and it won’t be his daughter who’s going to get in the way. She even avoids asking for advice – though her dad ends up throwing criticism here and there whenever he can.

“He gives a lot of touches. But the best ones are the ones he gives at home. It’s the most individual and personal: ‘You can do it better’…but always in the same vein as what he says to [filha] And to another.

Patricia is well aware of the importance of this advice and realizes that she only got to where she is because of the doors her father opened. Don’t be shy about talking about it. When a guest arrives, or even while speaking to the audience, she asks if they know she is in charge. “I know you were expecting Silvio, but I’m the one for the dayhe said laughing.

She made the same comment to Geraldo Alcumene, who laughed and said that he knew, yes, that Patricia would lead the program.
