One Hundred® promotes the world championship for synthetic racing for athletes on mountain roads

One Hundred® is organizing the world’s first Mountain Trail Artificial Race World Championship. The pioneering and innovative event will take place simultaneously in several countries, with the participation of athletes passionate about this sport. The race will take place on June 25, 26 and 27 on a track simulating the Dolomites in the Italian Alps, which will host the One Hundred®️ World Series. There will be shield and trophies for the best of times. The interested party must register with the site www.onehundred.run From May 22, but pre-registration is now open, at 40% off.

To host the Artificial Mountain Trail Racing World Championships, One Hundred®️ has partnered with US technology company IDERU. They have developed a specific application using artificial intelligence based on motion signature. It will be through the application to start the competition, read the track cut and learn the patterns of runner’s movement, timing the displacement in real time, in addition to presenting the evolution of the competitor through GPS tracking via the Internet. This technology will allow the participation of athletes from different countries, who will be able to compete in the race on mountain roads of their choice. The app also allows the audience to follow the road. One Hundred®️ TV will cover the race for your YouTube channel.

The contention will take place in four routes: 10, 25, 50 and 100 miles (16, 40, 80, and 160 kilometers, respectively) on ascent paths. The athlete will need to run with his cell phone connected to the app in the armrest. The artificial path must be similar to the characteristics of the Italian Alps, for the application to interpret movements and determine distances based on the mountain path.

“The AI developed for the app interprets a pattern of effort based on the characteristics of the Italian Alps. Along the simulated path, the app will monitor the sports in real time so it knows how its performance is. Choose running on flat ground, and the AI will make adjustments so that its effort is equal to who Competing on a mountain track, ”explains Cristiano Marcelino, events director for One Hundred®️ in Brazil, who celebrated the realization“ By combining technology with competition, athletes from all over the world will be able to simulate a competition on the same track. This is pioneering, unprecedented. ”

This will be the first race to use artificial intelligence in the world. This reinforces One Hundred®️ commitment to investing and promoting mountain trails in Brazil, while also focusing on other countries, such as Portugal, the United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

“The organization of this artificial race is the implementation of planning an event that was scheduled for this year, but due to the pandemic, it had to be postponed. The World Series of Artificial Mountain Trail Racing will favor athletes who have prepared for global competitions, in addition to providing results to sponsors and investors,” notes Rodrigo Isaac, Marketing Director at One Hundred®️.

He remembers that the pandemic has sadly reduced the pace of evidence around the world, and that the One Hundred® synthetic race is a great alternative. “We have managed to finish a legal course at this epidemiological moment, where we cannot organize face-to-face events. This is the time to do something special, for both One Hundred®️ and an athlete who dedicates himself to participating in high-level competitions to become a world champion.”
