The team – linked to CheckMat – has been growing year by year, and it is expected that about 30 athletes will participate in the 2022 London Open. Encouraged by the revival of gentle art in the country, Neto designed the tournament, which will have gi and no-gi disputes.

The next event that we’re going into full force, and that we’re focused on, is the London Open, in July. It will mark the return of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation to England in about two years, so everyone is looking forward to it. We will go in with between 20 and 30 competitors, and I expect a very good result. Little by little, events are coming back, and this prompts us to go through the IBJJF and AJP Tour Europe calendars – analyzed.

The owner of the story of overcoming and resilience, Neto Nunes became the subject of a documentary in England, where he lives with his family and owns the modern and organized gym “The Gauntlet Fight Academy” where he currently publishes BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling and MMA. For this reason, Brazilians know the importance of sports for young people and invest in forming a competition team for children and teens.

– Our main jiu-jitsu team is very strong, the gym is full, all classes have 60-70 students, and this raises the level of training a lot – the black belt said:

– Now we are forming a competition team for children (5 years) even young people, they are already about 30 years old and I want to work in this field, because I know how sports can help, give direction.

Finally, Neto Nunes plans to finish 2022 for the Academy:

Our expectations are very good for this second semester as we continue everything in the main tournaments – he confirmed.
