On Thursday, the UK’s security service MI5 issued a rare warning, according to the BBC, that a Chinese agent had allegedly infiltrated parliament to interfere in British politics. Defense attorney Christine Singh Qi Lee said she had “established connections”. Beijing says British allegations that a London-based Chinese lawyer is a Communist Party agent are “baseless and alarming”, and that the British government is looking at several 007 films to make similar decisions.
