Manchester, United Kingdom, May 3, 2022 (AFP) – Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola expressed his admiration for Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti on Tuesday, ahead of a crucial meeting between the two teams in the Champions League semi-finals.

“I’ve been impressed with his career as a player and coach for a long time,” Guardiola said in a news release. “He’s been in great football countries, he’s coached great teams, he’s always done a good job and achieved results with very good football.” Conference on the Italian coach.

“He always knows what to do in any match, and other than that, he is an exceptional person,” added the City coach.

England arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu with the advantage of a draw after winning the first leg at home 4-3, but Guardiola proved his caution.

“Playing great matches in recent years and good play helps, but that does not guarantee that we will do well tomorrow,” the Citizens captain warned.

“We will do our best to reach the final,” Guardiola added, noting that “every match is different.”

“In this type of game, there are moments when the opponent dominates you, others when you dominate, moments when they have more control and others with more transitions,” the Spanish coach recalls.

He concluded: “We can probably be better, but we can also play poorly and win. Football is unpredictable.”
