In Australia, scientists found the possibility of the acute whale that wandered during the seas 26 million years ago. They said this type on Wednesday (13), it looked great at first glance, but it was actually a frightening predator.
Experts from the Victoria Museum rebuilt the well -reserved excavator version of a skull in 2019 in the coast of Surf, the coast of Victoria.
The sample was a fast predator and sharp teeth and will be the size of the dolphin.
“It is basically a small whale with large eyes and a mouth full of sharp and sharp teeth,” said researcher Ruwaraded Denkan.
“Imagine the similar version of a small and wonderful whale whale, but it is definitely not affected.”
The skull belongs to the prehistoric type known as the name Mammals.
“This fossil opens a window to understand how the old whales have grown and changed and how development formed their bodies by adapting them to life in the sea,” said Eric Fitzgerald, the world of excavation, co -author of the study.
Surf Coast Shire is located in the Jan JUC Geological formation, with properties dating back to the time of oligosin, between 23 and 30 million years.
A series of rare fossils is found along the same beach extension, a recognized place to study the initial development of whales.
