Britta was diagnosed with bowel cancer after six days in the hospital. She revealed this on social media, and talked about the symptoms and treatment she would provide for this type of cancer. After being diagnosed, she underwent sterilization, and says she almost lost her life when she became infected, amid a painful breakup with her ex-husband, Rodrigo Godoy.

The singer underwent surgery to remove a tumor in her intestines on August 16 at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital in the central district of Sao Paulo. On Sunday, she said that in addition to the tumor, doctors also removed her uterus. The procedure is known as a total hysterectomy. According to the artist, the surgery was extensive and complex and took more than 14 hours.
